My day began with a ride from Newark to the World Trade Center on the PATH. This is a huge money-saving tip for people who live near Newark, NJ. Instead of paying my usual $10 for a train ticket from my town to NYC, it only costs $1.75 to get from Newark to NYC
Most of my time was spent in Lower Manhattan, which is the most confusing part of the city … I got lost so many times, but it was so worth it to see so many new areas of the city.
So here’s my day in pictures. Enjoy NYC through my eyes!
Arriving at the World Trade Center.
The area is still a construction zone, but the new memorial tower is slowly coming along.
Walking along the Hudson River.
So many runners and walkers take advantage of this riverfront path.
NYC sailing classes.
Looking at Jersey City.
Getting their feet wet.
Enjoying the sun—and the last day of spring!
Doing yoga in the park—on my to-do list!
Cloudy with a chance of sun.
To City Hall.
Decaying buildings.
Fire escape.
Around the corner.
Washington Square Park.
Framing the Empire State Building.
Lunch at Taim—222 Waverly Place in the West Village.
My lunch spot.
Banana, date and lime smoothie
Delicious mixed falafel platter.
Israeli salad, tabouli, the creamiest hummus ever and three kinds of falafel.
Perfectly fried, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside.
The perfect fluffy whole wheat pita, topped with olive oil, sesame seeds and oregano spread.
Flavorful green falafel.
Home to the Food Network—Chelsea Market.
Shopping at my favorite!
Eatery after eatery, bakery after bakery.
My favorite kind of store.
Kombucha for a sunny NYC day
Flavor of the day: Cosmic Cranberry—not as good as Trilogy
Half-priced sushi back in New Jersey.
Sweet potato, spicy tuna and Christmas rolls.
Sushi for less than $10, yes please!

Liv,
so glad I just found your site! That falafel looks delicious and now I want some for lunch. And that kitchen store!!!! I would spend hours there. I always wanted to live in NYC - love that place, but life took a different path, but a great one.
Enjoy your day!
